Our Services

  1. Free no obligation quotations
  2. Free impartial advice and support on any asbestos related topic
  3. Asbestos surveys in accordance with HSE guidance MDHS 100. All samples are sent to an independent, UKAS accredited laboratory for analysis.
  • Type 1: This is the bare minimum needed to comply with the Regulations. It involves a visual inspection only of all accessible areas of the premises and scoring suspected materials on a "worst case" scenario, when they can not be visually identified.
  • Type 2: This involves the same visual inspection together with the sampling and testing of suspect materials to prove the presence of asbestos fibres. This means that areas found not to contain asbestos are free from the restrictions otherwise placed on them by a Type 1 Survey.
  • Type 3: This type of survey is required for all demolition contracts and major refurbishment projects and includes destructive testing of all suspect areas and materials, including any that are normally inaccessible. Designed to be used as the basis for tendering the removal of asbestos containing materials this survey does not assess the condition of the asbestos.

The type of survey required will depend on the individual circumstances of the client. At Asbestos UK we can advise you on the type of survey or combination of surveys most appropriate to your needs.

Following a survey we will provide you with a comprehensive, easy to understand report including risk assessments and recommendations advising you of the status of your asbestos and the appropriate action, if any, to take.

Full method statement available on request.
